Companion & Sitter Services
At Unity Home Health Care, we provide companion/sitter services including non-medical care, socialization, and basic supervision to ensure a client’s safety and well-being. Companions may provide light housekeeping tasks, which are secondary to the care and supervision of the client.
Tailored Services in the Comfort of Your Home
We provide Companion/Sitter services to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability, and/or other inflictions. We do not provide medical or hands-on patient care.
Companion/Sitter services may include the following:
- providing companionship, friendship, and emotional support including social activities like playing games/cards, reading for leisure and development, or accompanying the client for recreational activities;
- helping keep clients in contact with family, friends, and the community, including writing or typing letters/correspondence or reading/organizing mail.
- providing transportation to medical appointments, grocery store, and personal errands;
- performing household tasks, like meal prep and planning and home maintenance
- reminding the client to take prescribed medications or help them participate in good health and wellness activities;
- assisting with pet care.
- Companion/sitter services shall not include any medical, personal or hands-on care.
